まどろむ
美しの樹氷
笠山南面のよだれ斜面、我慢のスルー。
今日はあそこまで行きます
この大雪原を歩くだけ。「ザ・デイ」のテンション。

あらまぁ、こんな所に素敵な斜面が。
来る！ザデイが来る！
そう確信した前日の夜が眠れないのはよくある話、決っして飲み過ぎたわけではない。入山は日の出より少し早めの6時10分。驚いたことにトレースがある。笠山はメジャーな山になってしまったのだろうか、という私も今回が初登頂なのだが。急斜面は滑る雪質で難しい、何度も転びそうになりながらうっすら残るトレースを追う。東の空から朝が来た。樹氷がキラッキラに輝いて美しい。だが「樹氷=霜=弱層=雪崩」という方程式が成り立つのである。案の定、日射を受ける南面はスラフが簡単に流れて気分の良いものでは無い。日陰を選びつつ慎重に。トレースのおかげで笠山まで2時間ほど、好ペースだった。これから歩く天塩の稜線を一望し、胸が熱くなる。「こんなに近くに見えるなら、今日は勝ったも同然だな。」と余裕をこくが、大きく迂回するルートだった。天塩岳とは一旦逆方向へ。大雪原の中に一本のトレースを刻んで行く、これぞ山スキーの醍醐味だろう。マンダムマンダム。気温は相当低い様子だが、完全無風なので少し汗ばむくらいだ。太陽が熱いぜ。両腕を日焼けさせながら、長い稜線を気持ちよく歩いて行く。稜線の木々は雪に覆われて、さながら現代アートのよう。見つけるたびに、それっぽい名前をつけて遊んだ。山頂、11時20分。じっとしてると寒い、さっさと帰ろう。いつもの「あらまぁ」斜面へ。雪質を心配したが、ドライパウダーぱっふぱふ。贅沢すぎる一本に、思わずこぼれるタマランチ。ゆるゆると沢沿いに滑り、適当なところでシールをつける。林道と河原と国道を歩いて下山。完璧な一日だと締めたいところだが、モービル軍団の迷惑駐車により脱出不可能。約1時間の待ちぼうけをくらう。他人のことばかり言える訳じゃないが、駐車場のルールやマナーも守れないようなら冬山に入る資格は無い。アレだけの大所帯で、疑問に思う者は一人もいなかったのだろうか。脱出後、遠軽までの道中はお手頃な温泉が無い。丸瀬布で遠回りするのも面倒なので、道の駅「遠軽森のオホーツク」併設の足湯に寄る。小さな足湯ながら、湯温43度と激アツでキマる。足の皮がヒリヒリします。
